Tijana Đorđević is a designer predominantly working with clay. Her work aims at unique techniques learned through the mass-production industry. Đorđević creates in a way that often leads to patterns and identical replication of objects, grouped and assembled in arrangements that become incorporated in spaces and show great effort through composition; making a very specific ambient. The shapes that she creates are minimalist and organic, almost always representative of the technical inspiration. Her mission is to overcome the barrier of expectations from ceramic artists, stereotypical elements associated with them such as pottery and hobby-techniques, molding modern and sophisticated ceramic art. Đorđević exhibited as part of numerous prestigous
international exhibitions, some of her works can be found in museum collections throughout the world. Born in Belgrade, at the time known as the capital of Yugoslavia, she studied ceramics at the Faculty of Applied Arts and earned her Master’s degree at the Syracuse University in the United States of America.
