Radovi Uroša Šanjevića (1980) su unutrašnji svetovi u kojima se ukrštaju različita duhovna i umetnička iskustva koje je sticao od Azije preko Evrope do Južne Amerike.
Ovaj nomad, koji se kao umetnik formirao u Beogradu, Amsterdamu i Koreji, pretvorio je prostor galerije Transformart u svojevrsni hram u kome se traganje za duhovnim pretvara u umetnički čin.

Sa svoda se poput ljiljana spuštaju trake na kojima su projektovani eklektični obredi stanovnika amazanskog podneblja. U sredini je svojevrsni oltar za kojim umetnik obavlja verski ritual, dok su na zidu slike rađene vodenom tehnikom ebru.

Ovu tradicionalnu tehniku oslikavanja papira, poznatu iz istočnjačkih umetnosti, Šanjević koristi u istraživanju ličnih prostora, krećući se od dekorativnog do apstraktnog, ka duhovnim sferama koje istražuje.

Za one koji su radoznali da otkriju kako se ova tehnika koristi, Šanjević je demonstrira na licu mesta.

The works of Uroš Šanjević (b.1980) are intimate worlds within which crossroads of divergent influences and artistic experiences form, ascertained in Asia, Europe and from South America. This nomad, artistically founded in Belgrade, Amsterdam and Korea, manifested a holy place out of the TransformArt gallery space, in which searching for the spiritual became an artistic deed.

Like the Lilac, strips of white cascade from the ceiling above the ground upon which projections of spiritual rites from the Amazonas regions are displayed. In the middle of the area, underneath the swaying white, an altar created by the artist himself sits. The artist centers his faith’s rituals, while the pale walls are used for projections of his ebru (water marbling technique) paintings, blooming cosmically in front of the audience as they are created on the spot.

Šanjević’s use of this traditional painting method, famous from its eastern roots, is an endeavour into finding personal space, working with decorative to abstract traits all the way to the divine spheres.
